If you’ve been fully vaccinated, your vaccination certificate can be viewed and downloaded at the Ministry of Public Health’s official COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate page.

To obtain your COVID-19 vaccination certificate, you must have taken the full course of the COVID-19 vaccine as per the approved protocol and 7 days must have elapsed since the date you took the final dose.

To access the service, you will need to log in using your National Authentication System (NAS) Tawtheeq username (usually the QID) and password.

If you’ve yet to create your NAS account, you may do so here.

If you’ve forgotten your NAS account credentials, simply reset your password here.

What are the benefits of a COVID-19 vaccine certificate?

Qatar residents in possession of vaccine certificates would be exempted from quarantine requirements following trips abroad or coming into contact with a COVID-19 positive case. The following are the exemption criteria:

    • 14 days must have passed after receiving the second dose before returning to Qatar.
    • A negative PCR test is required on return to Qatar following travel or following exposure.
    • The quarantine exemption is valid for a period of nine months, starting 14 days after the second dose.

Fully inoculated Qataris can also immediately travel internationally after receiving the second dose. However, to avoid quarantine upon return, it’s best to make arrangements so that the return date to Qatar falls after the 14-day threshold in order to avoid home quarantine.

Children under 18 with fully vaccinated parents are allowed to serve quarantine at home upon their return from non-green list countries.

The early stages of the administration of booster vaccines have required a period of eight months between the second vaccine dose and the booster vaccine for eligibility. However, MOPH stated that due to the growing clinical evidence showing that for most people the protective immunity obtained from the first two doses of the vaccine gradually begins to decline after six months, the decision was made to reduce the duration between the second vaccine dose and the booster vaccine to six months.
All individuals who meet the new criteria are now eligible for the COVID-19 booster vaccine, regardless of age, and are encouraged not to delay their appointment to ensure they continue to have high levels of protection against COVID-19.

MOPH has strongly recommended that anyone who is planning to travel aboard should ensure they have their booster vaccine before travel if they received their second dose at least six months ago.
The eligible individuals are also encouraged to get the booster vaccine as soon as possible and no later than 12 months following the date of their second dose, to maintain their Gold Vaccinated Status on Ehteraz.

Updated features in the COVID-19 vaccine certificate

The Ministry of Public Health Qatar has issued an updated format of the COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate. Some of the revised aspects include:

    • Inclusion of the booster dose in the Vaccine Certificate.
    • The IATA Travel Pass app and European Union Digital COVID-19 Certificates will also be integrated with the Vaccine Certificate. Travellers can upload their Qatar issued covid-19 vaccination credentials and verify they are eligible to travel.
    • If you have previously obtained your MOPH COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate, the format will still remain valid, and you may continue to use it as proof of vaccination in Qatar and abroad.
    • If you have already been administered your third COVID-19 vaccine/booster dose, you will be presented with a new certificate after 24 hours. You may now download it at the MOPH COVID-19 website.
