    4. At-home waxing

    If it’s your first time using a depilatory cream, do a patch test first and apply a small amount of the cream to your skin. Signs of a reaction include skin redness, bumps, and itchiness. Wait at least 24 hours after a patch test before applying the cream over larger sections of your face.

    After the patch test, here’s how to do it:

    1. Apply a layer of cream over unwanted facial hair.
    2. Allow the cream to sit on your face for about 5 to 10 minutes.
    3. Use a damp cloth to gently wipe off the cream and remove unwanted hair.

    ভাবছিলাম উত্তরটা এড়িয়ে যাব। কারণ, ইলিশ খেয়ে এর স্বাদের অভিজ্ঞতা একটুও লিখতে পারব না। আমি ইলিশ খেতে পারি না। তবুও লিখার চেষ্টা করেছি জানার আগ্রহে।

    প্রশ্নটা হচ্ছে, ফ্রিজে ইলিশ মাছ রাখলে কিছুদিন পর আর স্বাদ তেমন থাকে না। ইলিশ মাছ কীভাবে রাখলে এক বছর পরেও তাজার মতো স্বাদ থাকবে?

    আমি প্রশ্নটাকে দু ভাগ করি,

    ফ্রিজে ইলিশ মাছ রাখলে কিছুদিন পর আর স্বাদ তেমন থাকে না। হ্যাঁ, থাকে না। শুধু ইলিশ নয়, যে কোনো মাছ কিছুদিন রাখলে তার আগের ন্যাচারাল স্বাদটুকু হারিয়ে যায়। তাই উচিত যতটা সম্ভব অল্প কিনে এবং দীর্ঘ সময়ের জন্য সংরক্ষণ না করে সময়মতো পরিবেশন করে তরতাজা ন্যাচারাল স্বাদটুকু উপভোগ করা। কিন্তু তবুও তো কেউ চায়, ভবিষ্যতের জন্য সে কিছুটা হলেও সংরক্ষণ করবে। আহা ভবিষ্যৎ ! 😋

    যে কোনো মাছ সংরক্ষণের পদ্ধতি :

    মাছ সংরক্ষণের পদ্ধতি বিভিন্ন ধরনের হয়ে থাকে। যেমন, ১. শুকিয়ে মাছ সংরক্ষণ বা শুঁটকীকরণ, ২. লবণজাতকরণ, ৩. বরফজাতকরণ, ৪. হিমায়িতকরণ, ৫. ধূমায়িতকরণ, ৬. ক্যানিং বা টিনজাত পদ্ধতি।

    যেহেতু প্রশ্নে ফ্রিজে ইলিশ সংরক্ষণের ক্ষেত্রে কিছুদিন পর স্বাদ না থাকার কথা উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে, তাই আমি ধরে নিলাম তাজা ইলিশ। কারণ ফ্রিজে সাধারণত তাজা ইলিশ সংরক্ষণ করি আমরা। এখন তাজা ইলিশ সংরক্ষণের ক্ষেত্রে এক বছরের কথা বাদ দিয়ে নিয়মানুযায়ী যতদিন সম্ভব ততদিনের জন্য চেষ্টা করব।

    প্রথমে দেখে নেব ইলিশ কোন শ্রেণীর মাছ। অর্থাৎ বেশি চর্বিযুক্ত নাকি কম চর্বিযুক্ত। বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতে, ইলিশ চর্বিযুক্ত মাছ। তাই নিঃসন্দেহে এটি ফ্রিজে সংরক্ষণ করা যাবে ২-৩ মাস। তাজা ইলিশ সংরক্ষণের পদ্ধতি প্রধানত দু’ভাবে করা যায়।

    • আস্ত ইলিশ
      • আস্ত ইলিশ না ধুয়ে বড় সাইজের পলিথিন ব্যাগে ঢুকিয়ে পেঁচিয়ে নিন। ব্যাগের ভেতরে যেন বাতাস প্রবেশ করতে না পারে সে বিষয়ে খেয়াল রাখতে হবে। এরপর ডিপ ফ্রিজে রেখে দিন পলিথিন মোড়ানো ইলিশ। এভাবে সংরক্ষণের আগে ফুলকোর মধ্যে লেবুর রস ছড়িয়ে দিন, ব্যস।
      • আস্ত ইলিশ সংরক্ষণের ক্ষেত্রে আরো একটি পদ্ধতি অনুসরণ করা যায়। বলা যেতে পারে এটি সাব মেথড। অর্থাৎ, যদি ফ্রিজে/ডিপ ফ্রিজে যথেষ্ট পরিমাণে জায়গা থাকে তাহলে আস্ত ইলিশ পানিতে রেখে পানি সুদ্ধ বরফ করে ফেলা, তাতেও স্বাদ অটূট থাকবে।
