    ১৯৬৯ সালের গণঅভ্যুত্থানের দুজন উল্লেখযোগ্য শহীদ হলেন শহীদ আসাদ (আমানুল্লাহ মোহাম্মদ আসাদুজ্জামান) এবং শহীদ মতিউর (মতিউর রহমান মল্লিক)।
